COORS BIOTECH, INC. of Westminster, Colorado contracted Phoenix Bio-Systems to temporarily treat waste beer while permanent recovery facilities were under development at Coors Brewery. 

     Phoenix leased an existing, inactive alcohol distillation facility in Barnesville, Colorado and redesigned and upgraded the facility to enable the distillation of up to 400,000 gpy of 200 Proof ethyl alcohol from waste beer for sale into the oxygenated fuels market. 

     Distillation bottoms (waste water) were used to water cattle at a nearby cattle operation. 

     Phoenix Bio-Systems successfully operated the facility under contract to Coors Bio-Tech, Inc. for a nine month period.
